Our camps are run by Tiana Tapper, a professional riding instructor and former elementary teacher so you know your kids are in good hands! Tiana has been a part of Wentz Stables her entire life and is dedicated to making sure campers get their fill of horsing around in the best possible way.
No horse experience is necessary!
Our horse camps are typically made up of a mix of children who are new to Wentz Stables and current lesson students looking to further their horsemanship skills. We love beginners!
Some horseback activities we like to do are lunge line lessons, obstacle courses, group rides, trail rides, and much more. Our activities are planned and adapted for each group of children depending on their riding experience.
Campers must bring a packed lunch, a water bottle, and extra snacks are recommended. They must also dress for the weather and come prepared to ride. For campers new to the horse world that do not have the proper attire, we will provide helmets. Jeans are a good alternative to riding pants and boots are recommended.
When the campers are not riding, they take part in games and learning experiences to further their horse knowledge. This includes topics such as breeds, colors, markings, tack and equipment, grooming, and much more! Our day is filled with horse related games and activities, along with opportunities to get in the saddle.
The cost of horse camp is $80.00 per child and we accept payment in the form of cash or check. Parents must fill out and sign a waiver for all campers. Summer day camp runs on Mondays & Thursdays through most of the summer. Drop off time for camp is 9:30am and pick up time is 4:00pm. Before/after care available by request.
